Headmaster

Mr Paul Reynolds who was a member of Birchfield Board of Governors will take over as Interim Headmaster on Monday, 30 October 2017.  Following  teaching posts in London, Plymouth and Okehampton, he moved to Kelly College, Tavistock in 1989 to teach English  and coach various sports, and subsequently became the Director of Lower School.  In 1996 he was appointed as a Housemaster at Sedbergh School, followed by two years as the Housemaster of the Junior House prior to being appointed as the first Headmaster of Sedbergh Junior School when it opened in 2002. 

After twenty years’ experience in boarding schools, in 2009 he was appointed as Headmaster of Wilmslow Prep School, a Day Girls school, where he introduced a new Nursery and oversaw the introduction of co-education. 

He retired from his post in 2013 and has subsequently enjoyed working part time for PGL taking school parties on ski trips to Austria and France, together with working as a Practice Courts Manager at Wimbledon and giving extra English tuition.

He enjoys all sports especially cricket (is a member of Worcestershire CCC), rugby, skiing and long distance walking; he also enjoys Choral Society singing, travel and is a ward volunteer at a local hospice.
