TECHNOLOGY HAS FOREVER CHANGED THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

Computing at Birchfield focuses on a broad understanding of computer technology and its applications in our digital world. Our newly designed curriculum incorporates the latest thinking in the digital arena and our inspiring staff mean Birchfield pupils have a real appetite to learn in this fast-paced area.

Our ICT suite has been recently upgraded with support from our PTA, Friends of Birchfield. As we continue to enhance and support learning in this department, teaching rooms provide every child with their own PC, headphones, interactive whiteboards and bank of iPads for effective learning.

We supplement our learning with Lego technology in pneumatics and their exciting range of educational kits to teach the fundamental aspects of programming through the School. Computing is part of the curriculum, as well as being offered as an option for GCSE.
